Welsh Open Championships 2009
The WKGB Open Championships were held on Saturday
10th October at the Welsh Institute of Sport, Cardiff. We had a
small number of our more experienced competitors enter into the
championships, along with a number of our younger squad joining
them gaining essential experiences of attending a championship at
this level.
Sam Day was to be our first medal winner fighting
his way through the rounds where he was to take the Silver medal.
Emily Appleby a relative new comer to the National
circuit showed she is going to be a force to be reckoned with fighting
through the rounds to the final where she was to win her first National
title Welsh Open Champion 2009.

herself a Bronze medal.
