Grants for sports hopefuls

Talented young sports stars from Tendring have been handed grants to boost their chances in their chosen sport. Fourteen young people in sports including Karate have benefited from a new initiative set up by Tendring District Council. Twelve received £500 and two received £250 to help them buy specialist equipment and attend training sessions or top level competitions. Each of the athletes will be contributing to a blog on the Council’s web site letting everyone know about their achievements. The award winners have all achieved a high level of performance and this money will provide them with the opportunity to help reach their full potential. Daniel Szabo received £500 funding. Daniel has been training with LKK for the last 5 years and has always been a model student with his dedication and determination to succeed. The award could not have gone to a more deserving student.
